| (Code: ME12R) | This motor is maximised for powerSimilar to Meccano E15R & E20R motors but runs slower with much more power. A modern powerful 12v dc motor is "sandwiched" between two sideplates. With on-off/revesing switch which can be remotely operated with an adaptor (supplied). The drive from the motor is transmitted through 90 deg via a worm and pinion giving a 25:1 reduction ratio. In this configuration the final drive is reduced but very powerful. This final drive output is then at right angles out of both side plates. This shaft can be substituted with a longer one. Side plates 127mm x 63mm (10x5 holes), width 43mm. |
|
| (Code: MEP-S) | * A motor is maximised for power with an integral gearbox
* A fixed output of 37rpm at 12v dc
* Output shaft size 4mm
* Motor & gearbox length 60mm
* Shaft length 8mm
* Fitted with a 3 x 3 hole size plate for attaching to a Meccano Model

| (Code: MBATT1) | Separate outputs each controlled by a reversing switch for 12v and 4.5v. Designed for use where current consumption is low. |

These instructions describe the construction of a model based on an illustration of a Ransomes and Rapier "All-Round Titan" shipped out to Warrnambool, N.S.W., Australia in about 1890. The model comprises a Gantry, made up of a wheeled section, a tower section above with a square top. On top of the gantry is The Slew Ring which supports the Boom (or jib).
Two heavy duty motors are required for the traverse and slew motions, and two light duty motors for the drums.
These are basic instructions illustrated by a selection of eleven large coloured photographs of the model.
The builder is expected to have experience of having built similar models of a similar complexity.
Please note these Model Plans are designed by individual Meccano modellers and may use parts not currently available. The level of instruction detail is dependent on the original modeller and varies from plan to plan. These are instructions only. |
|
| (Code: MP162) | These instructions describe the construction of a model based very loosely on photographs of Allchin steam wagons of around 1915 to 1922. This is a model driven by a concealed electric motor and is designed to be built with the contents of a Meccano number 10 set.
This leaflet consist of 12 pages of construction description, colour photographs and parts list. The builder will have to have experience of interpreting pictures as the instructions are an overall building guide for each part of the model.
Please note these Model Plans are designed by individual Meccano modellers and may use parts not currently available. The level of instruction detail is dependent on the original modeller and varies from plan to plan. These are instructions only. |

| (Code: MP260) |
These instructions describe the construction of a model of a finely-detailed model a 1940's motor coach derived from the Midlands Red single-decker bus.
The chassis has a 3-speed and reverse gearbox and a working clutch, with differentials on both rear axles, all driven by a PDU motor, and working gear selector lever, brake pedals and steering.
Both interior and exterior are packed with interesting details including hinged driver's, luggage compartment and passenger doors, the last operated by a lever in the driver's cab.
The plan includes text, parts list and over 60 photographs. 40 pages.
Please note these Model Plans are designed by individual Meccano modellers and may use parts not currently available. The level of instruction detail is dependent on the original modeller and varies from plan to plan. These are instructions only.
