|These instructions describe the construction of a functioning model of an early petrol driven car. Louis Herlicq, an independent car manufacturer in France is making a revolutionary cart: "New Axa" to which De Dion, another French car manufacturer installs its single-cylinder engine. The combined motor car is then produced from 1898 to 1905.
The model features a 3-6v Meccano motor and gearbox driving the rear wheels via gears and chain and working steering.
An 8-page instruction leaflet with text building instructions and photographs with a parts list. The model can be built from standard Meccano parts, although not all may be currently produced.
Please note this Model Plan has been designed by a Meccano modeller from his own collection of parts. These are instructions only.
