| These instructions describe a model which can be mostly constucted from the contents of the largest Meccano( No.10) set, based on a ride that used to be on Walton-on-the-Naze Pier.
Like the real thing, the cars take off and free fall for a distance over the large hump when it gets up to speed. It includes an automatic stop/start intermittent drive, with maximum torque to overcome inertia at the start, accelerating to 'take off' speed before decelerating and stopping.
The Braced Girder railings are not, within the set, but are attractively appropriate and not essential to the model. Instructions include sections on the Base Frame, Base Ring, Mechanism Housing, Centre Housing, Automatic Mechanism, Non-Automatic Mechanism, Running Deck, Rotating Assembly, Kiosk and Steps, Motor Cover Door, and Fence Surround.
Eight page text instructions are supplemented by four pages of eight large and clear colour photographs.
Please note these Model Plans are designed by individual Meccano modellers and may use parts not currently available. The level of instruction detail is dependent on the original modeller and varies from plan to plan. These are instructions only.
