|These instructions describe the construction of a clock with Remontoire mechanism. By definition Remontoire is a device in a timepiece whereby the main source of power periodically winds a spring or lifts weights to drive the actual mechanism. In this case the remontoire is clearly demonstrated, rewinding every eight seconds by a 2kg weight. The clock mechanism is mounted in a tall case to provide for the fall of the weight and a long pendulum
